Microsoft is a software development company headquartered in Washington, USA, which was founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen. Developed Windows as an OS for personal computers in 1985. In 1990, Microsoft Office was sold as office software for Windows. Released Internet Explorer, a web browser, in 1995. In 2001, the Xbox home video game console was sold. Established search engine Bing in 2009. Launched Azure as a cloud service in 2010. In 2015, Deployed Microsoft Edge.

Regarding the OS, as a successor to MS-DOS, while developing OS/2 in collaboration with IBM, Microsoft also independently developed an OS that will lead to later Windows, and then developed Windows. After that, Microsoft continued to improve Windows and made minor changes many times, and made a foray into the server market with Windows NT. In 2001, with the release of Windows XP, MS-DOS-based Windows was integrated into Windows NT-based system.
